Homewood Suites by Hilton Decatur-Forsyth

VERY overpriced. During the week it’s quiet but the weekend it becomes a party hotel. People drinking alcohol in the hot tub, throwing cigarettes in the fire pit, loud all night, big parties of people who aren’t even staying at the hotel- very disappointing considering the price we paid to stay here. Type of experience you expect at a cheap motel not almost $200 a night. We stay in a lot of nice hotels- this wasn’t it. First room they put us in was dirty- bra in the couch, money and an old room card. Next room had a dishwasher full of dirty smelly dishes, pillows nasty. The pool was also dirty 3/5 days we were there and always wet towels laying around. The only plus was the woman on night shift at the front desk was really nice and breakfast was very good. Won’t be back due to the partying though, there are cameras for a reason and management should be enforcing rules. Couldn’t even take out kids swimming the whole weekend because of it.

Ok, we got a King Suite and stayed for 3 nights. The mattress felt old and I believe it needed replacement. The second night, I felt something pricking me in the leg as I set on the edge of the bed and it was a sewing needle. I was able to extract it, but this is worrisome. The breakfast area: On the second morning, I noticed the carpet was in need of vacuuming. (Crumbs and such on the floor.) The tables needed policing. I then noticed that the upholstered chairs were dirty at the top corners. This is just a matter of good housekeeping to keep these simple items clean. Update: The staff here responded to our complaints and we updated our review now. The dining area has been cleaned and we have been treated fairly by the management. Our room is now spotless. Thank you

It’s unfortunate that I have had a bad interaction with the night staff at the front desk every time I have stayed here. During all 3 of my visits. He is rude, ignorant and sleeps at the job ! He is never welcoming or acknowledges that I am diamond member. It’s like he’s doing me a favor when I ask for water. The words thank you or please does not exist in his vocabulary. I have called several times at night with no one answering the front desk just to walk all the way there to find him in the back and the ringer at the front turned off as someone else was also calling and the phone was just blinking. It is the same male worker on nights. He needs to go find something he likes to do because he hates his job and is ruining the Hilton name and guest experiences. During the day if I have interactions it’s been pleasant and the manager is nice. But unfortunately my interactions are Mainly with him which I will avoid staying here again. The house keeping also never cleans properly. There is hair in my bathroom, garbage can missing, Stuff on the side of the bed. I hope they improve the quality. I will avoid staying here in the future.
